Our mobile fuel trailer has the capability to hold and deliver 690 gallons of filtered diesel fuel and 100 gallons of Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF).

About Reefer Rescue
Reefer Rescue was founded by Derek Capps in 2019. Growing up in the Transport Refrigeration Industry, at the age of 14 Derek began simple shop jobs such as sweeping and dumping trash, painting and keeping things tidy. From there, he began shadowing seasoned Reefer Techs, learning the trade. He was given the job of rebuilding system components such as compressors, throttling valves, fan shafts and jack shafts. Later, he began performing Preventative Maintenance on the units, and some light diagnostic work. While in high school, he attended an HVAC program through Vo-Tech to broaden his skill set.
After high school, he started full time employment with Thermo King in Norfolk, VA, and in 2002, Derek moved to Southern California and started working for Thermo King there. There, he moved up from a line mechanic to a Thermo King Master Certified Mobile Technician. He became certified in Dealer Professional Training, Dealer Master Training, Bus HVAC, Magnum Container, Top Tech.
In 2010 Derek, moved back to Virginia with his amazing wife and two children. In 2019, Derek had the opportunity to start his very own On-Site Transport Refrigeration Repair Business. And Reefer Rescue was born!
